That's actually quite true. I remember watching a video about education (Michio Kaku was hosting it) and he said that every child is born with the mind of a scientist. (Questioning the world around you, trying to find out how everything ticks) But that the current education system doesn't concentrate on a child's actual learning, but it only concentrates on a grade, and nothing more.

That's cool :) I've always believed it for art, but hadn't thought about the theory in terms of science, that's a very good and interesting point :) I agree with your point on the school system too, especially as I've got older I've found that even the teachers are aware that they are basically teaching us to jump through certain hoops that the examiner asks for - they continually apologise for it :)

Thank you for your comment! :D

I quite agree with that actually ^^
And its why I've been home schooled all of my life. You get to learn what you want, and experience new things every day. Plus, since home schooler's aren't stuck in a class room all day, we get to go out and experience the world, and life.

Home-schooling does seem to have a lot of positives - I particularly like the idea of a more tailored teaching methods, but I've been in government comprehensive schooling all my life so I don't know what home-schooling is like so I can't really comment. ^^; The only negative is that for me, personally, neither of my parents have enough patience or enough teaching skills I don't reckon :/ Whenever they've tried to explain something to me, they've struggled to explain it in ways I understand and then eventually give up with a huff and a "Go ask your father/mother instead..." :)

I agree with the idea of school concentrating on grades and exams - not the real world. As I've got older I've noticed it more and more, even the teachers are aware that they are basically teaching us to jump through certain hoops that the examiner asks for - they continually apologise for it :P

Yeah, I've enjoyed it a lot. Plus, I get some one-on-One time with my mom going to the store in the morning, when If I went to school, I would be stuck in a class room lol

But its definitely not for everyone, some people just don't have the patience. :3
